Chase turned six last week. He had wanted to go skiing for his birthday, but since all of the Washington resorts are closed for want of snow--he settled for a "Lord of the Rings" party. Thanks Grandma for the Monopoly game!
The kids played games like "pin the ring on Frodo."
The cake was fashioned after Isildur's bane (i.e. the One Ring), complete with elvish writing that was roughtly transliterated into "Happy Birthday Chase." Of course the most fun was eating it!
