Yesterday evening John and I took a ride on the Spirit of Washington Dinner Train. We won the tickets at last year's UW Emergency Department christmas party and decided my birthday would be a great time to cash them in.
We left the kids with our neighbors, the Nielsons, and drove up to the depot in Renton, WA (about 45min). The evening consisted of bread and various spreads (John's favorite was the salmon mousse while I was partial to the cream cheese, garlic, chive concoction) a grapefruit, toasted almond, tossed greens salad with poppy seed dressing and prime rib for John and salmon with cherry sauce and shaved ginger for me. Dessert was chocolate mousse on pureed raspberry sauce. The food was pretty good, the company was excellent.
Sounds like lots of fun. I bet it was nice to just get away for a while. The picture looks great Ray!
